Two rooms under one roof: a sprung-floor dance studio and a strength floor, with a timetable built so you can do both in the same week. Founding members lock in their rate for as long as they stay.
Most dancers lift somewhere else and most lifters never dance. We put both in one building on 9 Avenue so you can take Heels on Tuesday and squat on Thursday without a second membership.
We spent ten years teaching in other people's studios across Calgary: rented church halls, a basement in Bridgeland, a squash court with the lines still on the floor. Our students kept asking where they could get strong enough to dance the way they wanted to.
Eightcount is our answer. Good floors, coaches who are paid properly, and classes that start on time and end on time.
Every format runs at least twice a week, with a beginner-friendly slot each time. Dance classes are 60 minutes; Strength Club and Latin Burn are 50.
Grooves, bounces and footwork, then a short combo. Where most people start.
Choreography with lines, floorwork and attitude. Heels optional; sneakers welcome.
Release technique, floor transitions and musicality across a four-week phrase.
High-energy choreography to Afrobeats and amapiano. You will sweat.
Small-group barbell and kettlebell work, programmed in six-week blocks.
Ballet-barre conditioning: small ranges, long holds, strong ankles.
Salsa, merengue and reggaeton steps strung into cardio intervals.
Hips, spine and splits work for dancers and lifters. Bring socks.
Founding rates hold for as long as your membership stays active, including up to three months of freezes a year. Billing starts on opening day, not before.

No. Hip-Hop Foundations, Afrobeats and Barre Sculpt are built for first-timers, and every class has a beginner option. About half our waitlist has never taken a dance class.
It stays as long as your membership is active. You can freeze for up to three months a year without losing it. If you cancel and rejoin later, you'd pay the regular rate.
On January 16, opening day. We take a card to hold your spot but don't charge it until the doors open.
Yes, on All Access. The timetable is built so the busiest dance nights (Tuesday and Thursday) sit next to lighter Strength Club sessions.
Not at opening. The teen program for ages 13–17 starts in February 2027.
Come to the hard-hat open house on Saturday, December 5, from 11 am to 3 pm. No sign-up needed.
